Japanese Urban Legend: Eye Pain

Translated from Japanese by Shishou(師匠)

Urban Legend

"Mom, it hurts!"
A girl ran towards her mother while holding her eye.

"Where? Let me see it." , said the mother while looking at the girl, who was holding her left eye.
Due to constant rubbing of the eye, it had become red in color. The mother put eye-drops in that eye.

After a while, the girl became cheerful and said, "It doesn't hurt anymore."
The mother thought that some dirt might have got into her eye. So she got relieved.

After a few days...

"Mom, my eye hurts!"
Complained the girl to her mother.

The mother put eye-drops and the girl's eye , just like previous time. After a while, the girl's pain went away and she started smiling.

Several days later...

"Mom, my eye hurts!"
She complained 3 times.

Naturally, the mother got worried and  took the girl to a ophthalmologist.
The doctor heard the whole story from the mother, then he proceeded to examine the girl's eye with various equipment.

"What in the world is this?"
The doctor said that in a surprised tone.

There was some plant like thing growing in her eye. It had sprouting leaves and even the root was somewhat visible.
The girl immediately said yes to surgery, and because of  that the plant was safely removed from her eye.

Our eyes have suitable amount of humidity and temperature. Also, it's a well guarded part of our body, so it makes it possible for a plant to grow on it.
