Japanese Horror: Drawers

Translated from Japanese by Shishou(師匠)

Short Story

One day, A-kun was passing by a recycle shop when he came across a desk with a lot of large-sized drawers. The desk garnered his attention as it looked high-class despite being quite cheap.

He inquired about the price to the shopkeeper. According to him, he had purchased it from the parents of a deceased person, hence the cheap price. Moreover, there is one drawer that is locked shut and can't be opened by any means.

A-kun ended up buying it considering it a value for money.

When he was moving it within his room, he noticed a faint sound coming from the locked drawer; but he didn't pay it much attention.

Japanese Ghost Story : Precognition

Translated from Japanese by Shishou(師匠)

Ghost Story

silent hill-foggy-intersection-creepy-traffic light

This incident happened with my mother when she was still a school student. During those days, she used to live with her grandfather.

Now, I should mention that my mother had experienced paranormal stuff quite a lot of time in her childhood days. Sometimes when she visited the graves, she felt that somebody pulled her. Other times, she experienced things like pulling of hair, weight on her chest etc.

My mother had a habit of running in the morning. Getting up 4 in the morning and then running for about 5 KMs was a daily routine for her.

One day, she woke up like always to go for running, but she found that it was raining outside. She thought about the situation for a minute and then decided to follow her routine and go for the running.

Admin Post: I'll post new stories soon

Hi everyone, Shishou here. This post is to announce that I'll be back with posting stories in about 5-6 days. Due to my exams, I wasn't able to post anything new in the past few weeks, and I deeply apologize for that.
Now, the good thing is that I have my final exam on next Thursday and after that I'll be back to posting new stories on a frequent basis.
So, until then, have a great day.

Japanese Cryptic: The old man who sits in front of me

Translated from Japanese by Shishou(師匠)

Cryptic Story

There is an old man who always sits in front of me in the train when I return home from work.
For some reason, he looks at me and grins.

He does this everyday and it has started creeping me out. So, one day I asked my co-worker to go home together with me. We both boarded the train together.

But even then, the old man looked and grinned at me. I got really creeped out by him, so when
we (my friend and I) both got off the train, I asked him, "Wasn't that old man creepy?"

My friend replied back with this.

"The old man who was looking at you?"
"Actually, that person was not looking at you. He was looking and grinning at the ghost behind you."

I think it was just a poor joke by my friend, but I get a bad feeling for some reason.

Japanese Horror: The phone call

Translated from Japanese by Shishou(師匠)

Creepy Person

cellphone-creepy-japanese-person

There was a high school freshman girl who used to live in a pretty rural area. Her parents bought her a cellphone as a birthday present for her.

She was overjoyed by it. But the problem was that cellphones were not widespread during those days, so she couldn't use it to call her neighboring friends.

However, one day, she received a text message on her cellphone.
It read.
"I want a penpal, so I entered random number and sent it. If it's okay with you, would you like to be my penpal?"

That sudden message delighted her and she soon sent an affirmative reply.

From that day on, she started messaging that person on a daily basis. She learned a few things about that person.

That person was a guy and a sophomore at high school. She grew more attracted to him when she found that he was nearly the same age as her.

However, that guy mostly talked about TV shows or school. Never once did he talk about the place where he lived. Whenever asked, he refused to talk about that.

One day, the girl made up her mind and sent this message to the guy.
"I want to hear your voice. I want to talk about various things directly."

Japanese Cryptic: Reunion and toast

Translated from Japanese by Shishou(師匠)

Cryptic Story

I was at a reunion party with my old friends.

I picked up a glass of beer and held it up for a toast. I drank it completely.

*pant* I can't breath.

Don't tell me. Did they poison my drink? Before losing my consciousness completely, I glanced at my friend.

He was trembling and had a confused look on his face.
