Japanese Cryptic: My conversation with my little sister

Translated from Japanese by Shishou(師匠)

Cryptic Story

My conversation with my little sister. Here A-kun refers to my friend.

Sister: "Can you call A-kun to our house?"

Me: "Huh? What do you want to do with A-kun?"

Sister: "Can you please do it?"

Me: "But why him?"

Sister: "Ummm...I just want to have some pictures with him."

Me: "Eh! wait, do you like him?"

Sister: "No, no. He isn't my type."

Me: "You aren't making any sense."

Sister: "You see...I've something to tell you."

Me: "Yes..."

Sister: "I had conversation with this girl at a seminar..."

Me: "Okay...?"

Sister: "And I bragged to her how good-looking my brother is."

Me: "Oh."

Sister: "Her picture..."

Me: "I'm sorry."

Sister: "It's...alright."

  1. The first part made me think that her brother is too ugly for her to show her friend but the last part has me confused.

    1. You're correct. Her brother is not good-looking that's why the sister wanted to have a picture with brother's friend and then pretend to her new friend that her brother is a cool guy.

Last part isn't confusing. The friend in the picture must be a good-looking girl, so the brother feels sorry for being ugly. The sister then feels the guilt of what she has done.

I feel that the brother himself knows about his appearance and has some kind of inferiority-complex. That's the reason he apologizes to his sister.

  2. The it blank, and shows no girl that the sister mentioned?

    1. Nah, the brother realizes he is not a good-looking guy and apologizes for that.

  3. Aww I feel bad for the brother!
