Japanese Ghost Story : I already know

Translated from Japanese by Shishou(師匠)

Ghost Story

My aunt has the ability to see spirits from a very young age.

That day too she encountered something bad.
She saw an old woman who was cycling with all her effort.

It was not an uphill road, just a normal flat road, but the old woman was having problems cycling on that road. She was drenched with sweat.

"What is happening?", my aunt thought.

My aunt looked in direction of the basket of that cycle. In that she saw a freshly severed head.

It had holes in place of eyeballs, and it was staring at the old woman with a gaping mouth.

"That was an extremely bad spirit. I have to tell that old woman. But she won't believe me if I tell her directly....", aunt puzzled how she should approach the old woman.
It's better to tell her rather than brood about it.So, she decided to tell her.

She went to the woman and said, "Sorry, but there is something I need to tell you."
She couldn't finish as the old woman replied in an instant.
"I already know."

  1. Haha so the granny has the ability too? Or rather just an annoying adult with "I already know much than you" attitude. Hahaha kinda strange ^^

      Maybe the former is true.

  2. I thought the old lady had killed and decapitated someone, instead of the head actually being an evil spirit.

    1. I thought that too initially. But if the head were real, everyone around her would have noticed too. Maybe the old lady also has that ability.

  3. The head is probably that of a vengeful spirit.. The old woman probably killed the person whose head that belongs to, and it's punishing her.
